Gas central heating has been a favourite for a long time, but you might use it for cooking as well, due to its efficiency and versatility. It is vital to ensure that all your gas appliances, whether it be a boiler, cooker or gas fire, are in a safe condition.
All our engineers are Gas Safe registered, and we can carry out regular maintenance, fault finding and repairs, tightness testing and a visual inspection of pipework ensuring the installation is in good condition and that there are no gas leaks. We can also advise you on whether your gas appliances are burning correctly and assess for blockages in air vents or chimneys.
Warning signs often include excessive condensation, a lazy yellow flame, black marks or stains. However, as gas appliances can be unsafe without displaying outward or obvious symptoms, we recommend that they should be serviced annually. Carbon monoxide alarms positioned close to gas appliances provide an excellent early warning; so please call us quickly if this sounds.
